Green Energy Approach

At Asian Supply Base (ASB), our commitment to sustainability goes beyond compliance it is a strategic effort to embed green energy solutions across our operations and contribute to Malaysia’s low-carbon and Net Zero aspirations.

We are actively transitioning toward cleaner, more efficient energy practices through the adoption of Green Supply Chain Management, carbon footprint reduction, and renewable energy investments. These efforts are aligned with our environmental responsibilities and our role as a key logistics and supply base for the energy sector.

• Green Supply Chain Management
ASB integrates environmentally responsible practices into every stage of our logistics and operational supply chain. From equipment handling to cargo movements, we aim to reduce emissions, optimize resource usage, and work with partners who share our values in sustainability and environmental stewardship.

• Carbon Footprint Reduction Initiatives
We are continuously taking measurable steps to lower our carbon footprint, including:

Transition to Electric Forklifts: ASB has introduced electric forklifts powered by Lithium-Ion Batteries (LIB). These modern machines not only reduce greenhouse gas emissions but also require less maintenance and deliver higher energy efficiency compared to traditional diesel-powered units.

Solar Energy Integration: In May 2024, ASB commissioned its first on-site solar panel system to power parts of our facility with clean, renewable energy. Since its commissioning on 10th May 2024, the system has delivered tangible environmental benefits:

– 10 tons of standard coal saved
– 12 tons of CO₂ emissions avoided
– Equivalent to 17 trees planted in carbon offset terms

This marks a significant milestone in our ongoing journey toward greener operations and serves as a catalyst for future renewable energy projects across the base.

At ASB, our Green Energy Approach reflects not only our operational values but also our role as a responsible industry leader committed to building a more sustainable future.

Green Supply Chain Management

“Green supply chain management,” or “GSCM,” is an idea that is spreading around the world. An organization’s perspective is that it may increase profit and market share by lowering its environmental impact and encouraging its staff to be more eco-friendly.

Businesses and organisations’ ongoing efforts to get better often include goals like safer workplaces, better working conditions, and a smaller carbon impact.
