The Malaysian Society for Industrial Safety was registered on the 27th of April 1971. MSOSH is a leading association for OSH Professionals and has 50 years history of successful growth and development.
The MSOSH Occupational Safety and Health Awards (MSOSH Award) are given annually to Malaysian organizations that have demonstrated exceptional performance in OSH. The MSOSH panel of skilled and committed auditors conducts thorough document and site verification audits of the audited companies before the MSOSH Technical Committee evaluates them for the appropriate awards based on their qualifications and capabilities.
The MSOSH Award program was inaugurated in 1982 and it continues to be actively supported by multifaceted member organizations since its inception.
The award was established to honour the participating organizations that are actively and continuously enhancing their occupational safety and health (OSH) performance, not only in accordance with their typical lagging indicators but also in accordance with their consistency. persistence, and resilience in their OSH practices at the workplace.
The MSOSH Award is designed to properly recognize all member organizations and businesses that have demonstrated excellent OSH performance and/or significant OSH process improvement through a reliable Safety and Health Management system.
Asian Supply Base (ASB) was awarded the MSOSH AWARD 2022 GOLD CLASS 1 as a recognition of its achievement in OSH performance throughout 2021. The 40th MSOSH award 2022 ceremony was held on 21st December 2022 at Sunway Resort & Spa and the award ceremony was presented by Guest of Honor, YB Tuan Hj Mustapha Bin Sakmud, Deputy Minister of Human Resources.
For the record, ASB has received GOLD CLASS 2 recognitions for two consecutive years (2021 & 2021) since participating in the MSOSH in 2020.
The most recent recognition served as a benchmark for ASB to demonstrate a high level of commitment, management, and performance in regard to OSH.

Asian Supply Base (ASB), a fully integrated logistics hub for oil and gas operations, represented Sabah and attended the Oil & Gas Asia with Malaysia Oil & Gas Services Exhibition and Conference and the Petrochemicals Sustainability Conference (OGA x MOGSEC & PSC 2022) for the first time, which took place at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC).
The event. held September 13-15, was co-sponsored by Informa Markets Malaysia, the Malaysian Oil and Gas Services Council (MOGSC) and the Malaysian Petrochemical Conference (MPC). It has highlighted opportunities in Malaysia’s various economic sectors related to oil and gas.
It also featured participation from local and international companies such as South Korea, Scotland, Singapore, Indonesia, the United Kingdom. Italy, Germany and North America, and received positive feedback from domestic and international industry players.
ASB Chief Executive Officer, Japar Esteban, told Bernama that the company is trying to explore its potential as a commercial logistics service provider. alongside expanding and diversifying the types of businesses and services at the ASB base. ASB is also poised to expand the size of its existing base operation, which covers an area of 139.61 hectares (345 acres), in response to customers’ growing needs and demands.
