SABAH OIL, GAS AND ENERGY CONFERENCE & EXHIBITION (SOGCE) 2023

Asian Supply Base (ASB) took part in the 10th Sabah Oil, Gas and Energy Conference & Exhibition (SOGCE) event which was held on the 8th and 9th June 2023 at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC). The event themed “Energy Security & Sustainability of Oil, Gas & Energy Industry in Sabah”, was officiated by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, who was represented by Assistant Minister to the Chief Minister, Datuk Nizam Abu Bakar Titingan.
The event itself enables suppliers of technologies, and experts in the field together with policymakers to come together and discuss the issues and opportunities of the field, charting the way forward in the promotion of the oil, gas & energy industry in Sabah. In hopes of further supporting this effort in promoting the oil & gas industry, ASB together with our holding company, Sabah Energy Corporation Sdn Bhd (SEC) became the joint platinum sponsor for this year’s SOGCE event.
Throughout the conference, our delegates had the opportunity to get new information through paper presentations and plenary sessions that were held by experts from local and international organizations. SOGCE 2023 focuses on propelling and sustaining the oil, gas & energy industry in Sabah and has great potential with an emphasis on Energy Security and Sustainability in the Oil, Gas & Energy Industry of the state.
For the exhibition, 71 companies including ASB took part and occupied around 100 booths in Kinabatangan Hall of SICC. ASB’s exhibition booth was strategically located at the main entrance area, positioned beside Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd and Petra Energy Group. During the two-day event, we had the opportunity to meet and get a better understanding of the services of other oil and gas players, whilst having the opportunity to increase company branding and awareness to other industry players and the public as well.
